Every charity relies on people and an income in order to function and Age Concern Somerset is no exception.By far our biggest contribution is from our 325 (and rising!) volunteers, all giving their time and experience free of charge. There are many ways in which we attract funding for our operational costs. Some sources provide funds for larger ventures/services etc. and are tied, other sources are much smaller and are highly valued because they provide funding for our often unseen needs in order to keep us going e.g. advertising costs, or being more productive by introducing better technology. Age Concern Somerset welcomes all funding and actively encourages support from any willing source, no matter what the amount. There are a variety of different ways to do this, all of which are easy, simple to do and can involve the benefit of a tax break into the deal.
