Care Homes in Somerset
Somerset County Council in conjunction with the Registered Care Providers Association have produced a website that has two main functions:1. To provide clear, easy to understand public information on what to consider if an individual or their family is thinking about residence in a care home and the help that Somerset County Council, other agencies and voluntary sector can provide.
2. A directory of care homes in Somerset and their vacancies - this is used by health and social care staff and individulas looking in particular areas.
The list of homes are taken from the CSCI website and encourages the homes to up date their vacancy information and display their fee levels (in line with the OFT report). Listing on the site is free.
